Unforgettable 12 day Northern Vietnam adventure 

Our recent trip to Vietnam through AMA Journey was truly amazing from beginning to end. Hoang was so helpful in the planning stage and helped us create our ideal itinerary. 
He was extremely responsive and professional, also assisting with our visa process when the time came. We stayed in communication during our travel day and our driver and also our guide, Doan, were waiting for us at the airport in Hanoi when we arrived after our very long travel day. 

When we got to our hotel, Hoang was already waiting there to greet us and help us get settled. We traveled with our dear friends, another couple, to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We all felt so warmly welcomed! 
We toured Hanoi the next day, then traveled around the Ha Giang loop for 4 days, then back to Hanoi, on to Ninh Binh with a stay in Tam Coc and finally a 3 day 2 night cruise in LAN Ha Bay before our last night in Hanoi. 

We could not believe how flawlessly our trip went, considering all of the different stops, activities, home stays and hotels we had booked. Oh, and everywhere we stayed, flowers or desserts were presented to us in honor of our anniversary????A very thoughtful touch!

Our van driver was always waiting on us (not the other way around!) Doan made all of our stops interesting and fun, and made sure we were comfortable along the way. We truly felt we experienced Vietnam in an intimate way. Our roadside cafe stops for delicious salted coffees, hikes and bike rides through nonstop gorgeous scenery, dancing at a street party in Dong Van, the delicious food served home style and toasting w the local beer, karaoke night in Tam Coc!! , but most of all , the people we met as we traveled, are all among the memories we will cherish forever. 

On our last night in Hanoi, Hoang met us at our hotel and we all walked over to Train Street. We waited on the train with cold drinks, amid a riot of lights, colors, and the sound and company of people from around the world. Hoang captured our evening for us with the most beautiful photos. 
Then we were on to our farewell dinner, which was perfect.

I would highly recommend planning your trip through AMA Journey and would book a trip with them again in a heartbeat! Life is short, take that trip!!!
