Mai Chau - Pu Luong - Ninh Binh Adventure

Starting from Hanoi city. At 8.00 our Ama Journey’s tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel to depart to Mai Chau.

On the way, stop at Thung Khe pass to admire the spectacular view of the valley with rice fields and villages before arriving in Mai Chau at noon time.
Only 150km away from Hanoi, Mai Chau valley is an unmissable place to relax and visit the local White Thai ethnic, discover their culture, daily life and beautiful landscapes.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local family in the village. Take a short break before strolling around the Lac, Na Pon, Poong Com village with peaceful traditional stilts houses next to each other without any fence.

Bikes are available to explore from the villages to villages, seeing rural work on the rice fields, encountering local people and visiting the weaving craftsman’s family.
Return to the accommodation in the late afternoon. Having a hot shower before enjoying a cozy dinner in a comfortable peaceful atmosphere that could not be described in words.

After breakfast at homestay. Depart from Mai Chau and head to Pa Co, a Hmong village nestled near the Moc Chau plateau. If it's Sunday, enjoy the lively local market full of colors and ethnic charm.

Trek through traditional Hmong villages to Hang Kia commune, surrounded by plum orchards, rice terraces, and forested hills. Visit a local family, school, and dispensary to connect with authentic highland life.

Having a lunch in a local family, descend into the peaceful Cun Pheo Valley. 

In the afternoon, transfer to Mai Hich for dinner and restful night at a local homestay.

Transfer to Pu Luong. On the way we will have a trek from Eo Ken village to Ban Hang village. Our car will pick up at Ban Hang and keep driving to Pu Luong.

Having lunch and relaxation before enjoying a trekking along the valley of this beautiful region. Down to Don village and following the trail to the Chom Uoi and Chom Lan village.

This amazing trekking will bring to you the changing of landscapes from rice terraces to ponds, streams and the mountain range. Keep enjoying the walk to Pho Doan. Meeting our driver and returning to the homestay.

Breakfast at your accommodation.

Starting a full day of hard trekking from your homestay to Hieu waterfall. This waterfall originates from a rocky cave in Pu Luong limestone mountain range that makes the water clear and clean. The impressive trekking will be around 10 km on the small road and on the trail through the rice field, villages then the jungles to reach the Hieu waterfall.

Enjoy a lunch and then free time to relax and swim in the waterfall or take another 1 hour to climb up to the mountain that is alongside the waterfall to admire the stunning panoramic view from the peak.

Return to the accommodation for a shower and dinner.

End of the amazing trekking day.

At 8.00, after breakfast in Pu Luong, meet our tour guide and driver for a 2.5-hour journey to Ninh Binh.

Arrive in Van Long around 10.30, enjoy a biking tour along the Van Long dyke to see the local life, the beauty of Van Long with water and mountain.
Stop on route for beautiful photos and encounter with local people. Next, discover the hidden peaceful Thung La temple and listen to the history of this temple.

Return to the village. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, relaxing before enjoying a rowing boat trip to explore Van Long nature reserve. You may see the Monkeys on the cliffs of the mountain and egrets on the water of the nature reserve.

After the boat trip, visiting one of the local families in the village to learn about the embroidery skill. There will be a short and small instruction course that will help you become an “embroidery craftsman.”

In the morning, after breakfast, transfer to Mua cave, conquer 500 steps to the peak of limestone mountain to enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of rice fields and villages surrounding.

Transfer to Hoa Lu – the ancient capital of Vietnam in the 11th century. Discover the beauties and the histories of 2 king temples: Dinh King Temple and Le King temple.

Having a lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, relax then enjoy a sampan boat trip in Trang An. Rowing boat trip on the clear water of the stream where you can see the bottom or many fishes. Rowing through the grottoes, some of them are 100 – 200-meter long that really bring you an impression.

On the boat trip, we will stop and get off the boat to discover some pagodas and temples which were built to worship the Tran dynasty’s mandarins.
After a 2-hour boat trip. Return to the Trang An pier and transfer back to Hanoi
