About Bai Tu Long Bay

Bai Tu Long consists of hundreds of islands and islets, some popular among tourists and others virtually unknown to foreign visitors. This bay hosts diverse ecosystems, including mangroves, schist islands, coral reefs, and tropical forests.

Visitors will find the landscape of Bai Tu Long strikingly similar to that of Halong Bay, appearing more as an extension than a neighboring area. Like Ha long Bay, Bai Tu Long features massive limestone karsts rising from serene green waters.

However, the karsts in Bai Tu Long seem slightly taller and more densely clustered, with fewer tourists around. This enhances the sense of being in a relatively undiscovered place, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the peaceful surroundings.

Best time for Bai Tu Long Bay cruise

The ideal time to visit Bai Tu Long Bay is between October and April when the weather is mild and dry, offering good visibility. This period is the peak tourist season, so the bay can be crowded, and prices for tours and accommodations are higher.

From May to September, the weather becomes hotter and more humid, with a higher chance of rain. However, this low season means fewer tourists, making it a great choice for those seeking a more peaceful and less crowded experience.
