The road passes through National Highway 2
Length 285km
Travel time: About 6 hours
This route has toll stations.
Tourists start their journey from the centre of Hanoi, following Kim Ma's direction to Vo Chi Cong, Vinh Ngoc, and Vo Nguyen Giap streets. After about 16 km of Vo Nguyen Giap Street, turn right onto National Highway 2A, and continue to turn through DT131 and DT05. From DCT05, go to National Highway 2B for about 550 meters, and continue to turn left onto National Highway 2C. Then, at the roundabout on Highway 2C in the Tuyen Quang area, turn left at the 1st intersection to enter Highway 37.
After 5 km on Highway 37, you move to the left and then go straight across An Hoa Bridge for another 4 km, then turn right at Doi Can Commune Medical Station onto Highway 2. Next will be a 158 km journey along National Highway 2 to reach/ leading to Ban Me - Phuong Thien. At the Ban Me intersection, turn right and follow the main road to reach Ha Giang province.
The road passes through Highway 32
Length 300km
Travel time: About 7 hours
Starting from Hanoi, you move in the direction of Ton Duc Thang, La Thanh, and Tran Duy Hung, through the Trung Hoa tunnel to reach Thang Long Avenue. Then, go straight on the Avenue for about 27 km, then turn onto Highway 21, go another 20 km to the roundabout, then take the 3rd exit to enter Highway 32.
Go about 28.9 km on Highway 32, then turn left onto Highway 32C. Continue going straight to Ngoc Thap Bridge and then go towards DT320, when you meet Phu Tho Vocational College, turn left to enter Highway 2. From here, you go straight to the roundabout on Highway 2C in Ham Yen, Tuyen Quang province. Here, continue to turn left at the 1st intersection to enter Highway 37 and continue your journey in the direction of the road passing Highway 2 as instructed above.
