Our group of 12 friends from Australia used the services of Hoang Dinh from AMA Journey in March 2026 for our Vietnam adventure.  We were not disappointed.
Hoang took care of everything for us.  Our transport from airports, accommodation in Ho Chi Minh, Hoi An, Hanoi and Mai Chau.

The highlight of the journey for me was a 5 day bus tour from Hanoi taking in Mai Chau, Pu Luong and Ninh Binh. Although the cities are fantastic and vibrant, no trip to Vietnam would be complete without a stay in an authentic village surrounded by rice fields and mountains.  Hoang arranged our homestay at the Tu Diep Homestay in the Mai Chau area. 

This was a fantastic experience where we were treated by our hosts Tu and Diep to incredible food and entertainment and both Tu and Hoang accompanied us on fantastic walks in the area where we got to witness Vietnamese village life and see the beautiful smiling faces of the villagers, farmers and children.  Being a photographer himself, Hoang took us to places with fantastic photo opportunies  where we could witness the true essence of Vietnam.

The bus driver Hoang used was a very safe driver and although some roads are narrow, he never took risks and we felt safe at all times.
My husband and I stayed in Vietnam longer than the rest of our group and Hoang also arranged for bus transport to Sapa, a overnight train ride back to Hanoi and a cruise in the Halong/Bai Tu Long Bay area.

Our group no longer think of Hoang as a tour guide but as a friend and we were already planning our next trip before we even left the country. He was extremely helpful, personable and spoke great English.
We cannot thank Hoang enough for everything he has done for us.  Until next time……..

We had a fabulous, 12 day experience, with Hoang Dinh from AMA Journey on our recent trip to Vietnam.

We were a big group of 12, family and friends, so a lot of people to organise. Some stayed and further explored Vietnam after the tour, and he organised that too.

Hoang arranged hotels, airport transfers, day trips, food, drivers (which were very experienced and kept us safe). We had the most amazing homestay in Mai Chau and the scenery was just spectacular. We travelled from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Hoi An and Hanoi. We had day trips to Ba Na Hills, Ninh Binh, Everything went so smoothly and if it didn’t, we didn’t know about it.

We had just the right amount of free time too to explore for ourselves. Hoang’s English was perfect, his Vietnamese crucial and his patience and kindness above and beyond. I would highly recommend Hoang from AMA Journey and will definitely be using him again on our next trip to beautiful Vietnam.


 

What a fantastic 2 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia! Thank you Huang for your exceptional organization, and trip suggestions! Everything was seamless… from personal airport pick ups, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides to competent and reliable drivers.

We felt like royalty! We loved every minute and learned lots about the countries history, cultures and food experiences.
Everything felt very personalized from private boat tours, to cooking classes, to learning how the locals work.

Hoang and his team put together an unforgettable tour for my wife and I, from the north of Vietnam to the south and also two stays in Cambodia.
The service level was fantastic, from airport pickups to air conditioned cars for each part of our journey.

Hoang learnt that it was an anniversary trip for us and had arranged some amazing recognitions for us at our hotels.
The air, hotel, transportation and entrance fees were all taken care of, we literally just had to show up at the airport or hotel lobby for VIP service.

Hoang picked some really nice boutique hotels that suited us perfectly.

We visited Northern Vietnam for the first time in August 2025 and booked a private tour with Ama Journey. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish!

Mr. Hoang, the owner, was incredibly helpful and responsive from the moment I contacted him while still in the Netherlands. When we arrived, our guide Mr. Hoa was already waiting for us at the airport, and Mr. Hoang personally came to our hotel to welcome us with lovely gifts for each member of our family (we’re a family of three) — such a sweet and thoughtful gesture!

Our guide Mr. Hoa and driver Mr. Binh were always punctual, friendly, and professional. The itinerary was well-planned, and every day went smoothly.

Now that we are all back at home, I wanted to thank you for organising such a wonderful trip for us. We really enjoyed getting to know your country, exploring it from north to south.

I am particularly grateful to you for organising such an enjoyable alternative itinerary for us when the storm meant we could not stay on the boat in Halong Bay. The short cruise and visit to Ninh Binh were wonderful alternatives and the morning trip down the river to see the "inland Halong Bay" was one of the highlights of our trip.

All of our guides were excellent, very kind and knowledgeable, and our drivers were also brilliant. The hotels and homestay were wonderful and we enjoyed all of them.

We engaged Hoang Dinh from Ama Journey for our party of 5 holiday in Danang and Hoi An . The itinerary was well planned with activities we enjoyed . 

The hotels were fantastic, in good locations which are convenient for us to walk around on our own . 

Our guide Huy speaks good English and is very accommodating and friendly . It made a difference when we have no communication issues and made our trip a fun filled and memorable one !
